I really enjoyed this different take on a B/J love story .
Author's Response:
How very exciting to receive your comments on this story, Frosty. I'm so glad that you found this story from a different time period interesting. Thank you very much for letting me know. Huge hugs, Grammy

The perfect ending to an absolutely enjoyable tale. The Heat is finally off except in their bedroom.
Author's Response:
Love your last comment. I want to thank you for giving me such an exciting time reading all your terrific comments. I have appreciated each and every one of them. Warmest hugs, Grammy

I can't help but wonder if they had rubbers back then.
Author's Response:
I actually did research on this very subject. Believe it or not, condoms were actually invented way back in the mid-1800's. Yes, I said 1800's. However, they were not in wide use among gay men until the AIDS epidemic made them essential to survival more than a hundred years later. Since gay men didn't have to concern themselves with making babies, they were not in as much use with gay men as with straight men before that. Great comment. Huge hugs, Grammy

Date: May 12, 2019 6:29 pm Title: 12. A Eureka Moment!
Telling Deb might seem easy, but what if she tries to fix Sunny up with Mikey?
Author's Response:
No worries there, YumYum. Deb is a perceptive lady and will recognize what is happening with her 'Sunny' and the detective. LOL! Hugs, Grammy

Date: May 12, 2019 5:10 pm Title: 11. Some of the Mystery Unraveling
I'm wondering how when Brian had eaten a meal with Johan, he didn't recognize the face in the photo. After all he is a detective trained in keeping his eyes open. At least the cops know the name of the culprit.
Author's Response:
Perhaps Brian is so wrapped up in thoughts of Justin that he just hasn't added two and two together quite yet where Johan is concerned. But all that will change soon. Hugs, Grammy

Now that was a night to remember.
Author's Response:
And only the beginning. Much more to remember in the future. Hugs, Grammy

My oh my, that didn't take long. Hope the bad guy isn't in the next room.
Author's Response:
Unfortunately, Johan is close by. So very happy to receive so many great comments from you, YumYum. Thank you very much. Hugs, Grammy

Date: May 12, 2019 2:50 pm Title: 8. An Ally, At Last
Wait till they realize they both like guys. That would be one way to keep the bad guy away, sharing a bed.
Author's Response:
That discovery is right around the corner. The important thing for Justin, however, is that he finally has someone in authority who believes him. It's a start. Huge hugs, Grammy

Oh dear, Brian knows who Sunny is, but even worse so does the guy with the crooked finger!
Author's Response:
Oh dear, indeed! The suspense is growing by leaps and bounds now. Hugs, Grammy

To be so near and not know it. Poor Brian. Then you have the real murder. What does he think will happen once he does away with Sunny?
Author's Response:
The only thing Johan is thinking is that he must get rid of the witness to his crime, whether the young man could identify him or not. As for Brian, he is an excellent detective soooo... LOL! Huge hugs, Grammy

Date: May 12, 2019 1:26 am Title: 5. A Lovely Face in the Crowd
Now I wonder what it is about the lovely Sunny that attracted the Detective? Could it be like recognizes like? Love the backstory on Debbie.
Author's Response:
I had to be careful in staying true to the time period when talking about Debbie's past, but I'm so glad you enjoyed that bit of history. Hmmm, could it be that the magic our original Brian and Justin felt in that first glimpse of each other is also present in this story? Huge hugs, Grammy

Date: May 11, 2019 11:52 pm Title: 4. Two Ships Passing in the Night
I'm liking your version of Some like it Hot. I need to watch that since it's been years.
Author's Response:
'Some Like It Hot' was one of my favorite Marilyn Monroe movies. I remember laughing so hard many times. It's actually been a long time since I last saw it too, but I can remember a lot of it even now. It was such fun twisting the story to fit our boys. Thank you for this delightful comment. Huge hugs, Grammy

Date: May 11, 2019 10:55 pm Title: 3. The Masquerade Begins
Genius to change the name to Sunny. Then to find Deb on board, with Vic was a good surprise, but I'm not sure how Michael's going to fit in. Now we have Brian hot on the trail.
Author's Response:
Definitely smarter to use Sunny, rather than Justine or Justina. I love adding Debbie to my stories whenever I can. She was always the heart of the show. Michael is of no importance to this story. Not that many readers will cry over that. LOL! Hugs, Grammy

Date: May 11, 2019 9:25 pm Title: 2. Detective Kinney on the Job
Wouldn't I love a picture of Justine. Here's hoping the getaway goes smoothly. Did he practice his talk?
Author's Response:
I had quite a bit of fun imagining how Justin would look in drag. LOL! Unfortunately, my Granddaughter wasn't able to put him in an outfit for the banner. She was much younger then, but could probably do it now. And despite being scared to death, Justin is smart enough to prepare for his disguise as best he can. Thank you for your comments, YumYum. Huge hugs, Grammy

Date: May 11, 2019 12:59 am Title: 1. A Shot in a Darkened Room
Oh this sounds like a good one. I can picture Justin dressed as a girl.
Author's Response:
I hope you will like this one. I had a lot of fun writing it. I look forward to your opinion of how the story unfolds, YumYum. Huge hugs, Grammy

I've always enjoyed well done period pieces like this. Great job keeping it consistent. TAG
Author's Response:
Thank you so much, TAG. I try very hard to be true to whatever era and place that I set my stories, so your comment means a lot to me. I truly appreciate it. Warm hugs, Grammy
