I like seeing Justin in a more dominant role though, I think it's more true to life. I know RH got a bit fed up of the way Cowlip wanted to portray the sexual dynamic between him and Brian on QaF and I can totally see why

Oh, I completely agree. I get it at first, J was 17 and inexperienced, but as he got older he earned himself the right to be treated as an equal in that and the writers never delved into that. I think it could have been really interesting.

Firstly I just wanted to say thank you for the review, it was lovely and you calling it beautiful really meant a lot. I promise I have not abandoned this story, I just got into a bit of writer's block funk and had to take a break. Once I finish co-writing my current story I am going back to it, so do not fear. Alright, finally leaving my review. This last month has been super busy with a funeral, a friend coming to visit from out of state, and a wedding and telling you this in review form slipped my mind but here it is: You did such an awesome job on this chapter and I am so proud of you! You definitely handled Brian's past with sensitivity and I am looking forward to seeing him go on this road to recovery as well because, since we know Brian, we know this was probably easier, in his eyes, to sweep under the rug. I know true justice might not ever be able to be given, due to twenty years passing as well as Brian probably not being able to handle anyone knowing publicly, but if he can come to terms with it and have the support of Justin and his family, then that will hopefully be enough to work. 

And the sex scenes were HOT. You know I love bottom, vulnerable Brian. ;) You managed to balance that yet keep Brian pretty much in character. Your version is more ready for this than canon Brian would have been, but I feel that this Brian is more mature and ready for a balanced and trusting relationship. I have to wonder how Brian would have been, both in his preferences and personality, if the assault had never happened, as well as an ubringing by more loving and accepting parents. :( 

Anyway, great job! I am honored that I got to help you throughout this chapter! Can't wait to work on the next one!

Come back Sally! So great to read your writing again. I cannot imagine how hard that chapter must have been for you to write, very powerful. Excellent work! Now it's time to heal, hence his recovery. Can't wait for more!

Amazing chapter. You did so well - with not only the sex scenes but Brian's confession. I saw another person comment that it's difficult to write Brian as a vulnerable person while still keeping him in character, but you did a great job. Now for the Recovery part, right? TAG

Thank you so much for your help with this, you have always been a great soundboard to bounce ideas off of, but I hope that I surprised you somewhat with the scene at the end. This was definitely very difficult to write because I didn't want to make Brian come across as weak (even though he wasn't at all) or too vulnerable, yet this scene needed him to emotionally lose it a little. But I hope it stayed as true to character as it could have :)

Definitely now on to the recovery - hopefully :)
