I read the first chapter again last night and I couldn't remember how this ended, but I woke up today and it came back to me. I loved this story, it was so sad but also beautiful. It was lovely seeing happy and innocent Brian. I wish you had continued this or written an epilogue. I have so many questions. How was Brian and Gus's reunion? Was Lindsey a bitch and did she talk down to him? Did the rhyming ever get better or was it always there? What did they do for money, could Brian go back to work? He's probably too nice to be an ad man now :)

I don't think I'll ever do a sequel to this one - it's just so perfect as is. But, to answer all your questions . . . Justin has lots of money afterwards from suing the hospital and his parents, so he's good until he gets done with art school and starts into a successful career doing something arty. Brian recovers some but he never will be the same Stud as before. The rhyming/clanging stays, sorta, but as his doctor pointed out, it's more his way of hiding from stress than true clanging by the point the story ends. He uses it as a crutch, although I imagine that gets better too once he's happily settled with Justin. In my mind, Brian probably uses that way with words to make a living writing in the future. The reunion with Gus goes great, and Brian eventually gets joint custody. Brian never forgives either Michael or Lindsey, though. But otherwise, they live happily ever after. Hope that helps. I ran across your story today, and was so entranced that I read it straight through, only taking necessary breaks. I absolutely loved this story!! I wasn't sure about it at first due to the high level of angst, until Brian was transferred to the same facility as Justin. What a wild and wonderful ride! I will miss our sweet, romantical, rhyming Brian just a bit, too. ;) Ah, Shakespeare sonnets! *sighs* Truly lovely. <3
