This made my day. The reenactment of the King of Babylon, only this time Justin wasn't doing it to make Brian jealous. Love Ted's sniping of Mikey, oh forgive me, Michael. Hope Ted, Emmett and Daphne do get to go on the trip. I've notice you don't really have to change much about Mikey, he managed to insult David into stripping in the series the same way. Hahaha.

Finally part of a much needed conversation has taken place! Brian and Justin needed to talk about why Justin ended up on that plane. Lindsay's interference was solely based on jealousy- there's no doubt in my mind about it. I always said that she thought 'Well if this blonde can't have Brian, then neither can the other blond,' and she used that article to make it happen. Selfish bitch INDEED!!
I felt sorry for poor Emmett. Between Lindsay and Michael they could drive an insane man back to good sense! I'm glad that both he and Ted are seeing Brian without the Dastardly Duo's influence. And I'm definitely happy that Mel is also wising up to her part in the disconnect between her and Brian. It took Deb's Bitch-Out to get all three of them to really see Michael and Lindsay for what they truly are.

GO DEB!!! Finally she is getting a wake-up call! I hope it lasts for awhile. I know she'll backslide because let's face it, it's Deb and where Michael is concerned, he's got an invisible noose around her neck called 'Motherhood.' But I think that the points she made will at least hit home with Ted and Mel, which seem to be the most receptive to carving a new path for themselves. I always found it heartbreaking that Ted was willing to be subject to Michael's whims so that Michael would love him. That's was just plain WRONG on so many levels. As for Mel, it pissed me off that she literally took the saying 'Happy Wife, Happy Life' and drowned herself in it so that she could keep Lindsay. Again just plain WRONG! Hopefully Deb's speech has restored their senses of self to them. Most of all though, I hope that Vic's words got through to Deb because she can't spend her life being a slave to Michael. No Way!!

LMAO!!! The 'Invention' was hilarious!! Michael and Lindsay got their asses handed to them by a 'teenage' Justin! Vic's introspection cracked me up. Deb really needs to wake up and get a clue about her son's obsession. It was funny to see Lindsay and Michael in action. They really do the same things when one thinks about it: Tries to argue a point and then when they find out that it's not going the way they want, they change the subject, like Lindsay did regarding the policy and Michael regarding the trip to Vermont. And then the ass tried to invite himself along on their trip while Lindsay feels that Brian should explain why he is taking Justin on a romantic getaway?? Those jokers have BIG mental issues that I don't think meds can cure.

Melanie trying to use Gus to get back into her family's good books is just plain WRONG!! I'm glad that Brian let her have it with both barrels. Hopefully she will rethink that foolish and selfish plan of hers. I'm so mad at her for thinking that way. For many reasons it reminds me of Lindsay. I suspect that even if her family does object to her being gay, that her association with that uppity bitch doesn't help matters at all.
YES!!! Daphne handed Michael is ass! I always wished she had let him have it in the series. Shucks I would have paid money to see it happen that way. There is a distinct difference between Michael's definition of 'best friend' and Daphne's. I think down through the years of the previous life, Brian understood that difference more and more. I've also always loved the Brian-Daphne dynamic and felt that they should have expanded on it. It's so good to see that it could happen here!
Off to read the next chapter! I swear it really is like reading it for the first time all over again! I'm noticing little things that I didn't see to mention before.

I'm glad that Justin told Brian what Michael said! Big changes are on the wind FINALLY! As for making Emmett the Keeper of Kinney World, I LOVE that idea! I always thought of Brian and Emmett as the King and Queen of their little world with Justin in the middle as the Crowned Prince of Liberty Avenue. Ted and Mel would have become 'The Royal Counsel' in my imagination. Michael is the Court Jester and Lindsay the peasant wench always trying to find an angle into the King's Bed or the discarded mistress who thought more highly of herself than she ought. Hey, stop laughing- it could've happened if this was a historical romance novel kinda deal, LOL Anyway, this is just the perfect kind of dynamic for Brian and Em! I'm really looking forward to the Vermont trip and all of the future revelations/ understandings between Mel and Brian. It's about time!

WOAH! Jen ROCKS!!!!!!! First she's all about taking teh burden off of Brian by taking care of everything and doleing out chores for the others to take care of. Then.....oh baby! How she took care of Deb! I thought she was brilliant facing down Joan, but with Deb....I was cheering even louder! Everything was SPOT ON! I get that Brian asked her not to do anything or say anything back then, but as a parent....it's her responsibility! So much could have been prevented if she had. I nearly burst into tears though, when Jen asked about apoligizing to Deb, adn Brian's reponse about how he wouldn't have Justin otherwise. OMG........so ......*sob* touching and so endearing. Jen really has taken Brian as her son. I love how she keeps referring to him as such. My sons. I am so incredibly happy that in this lifetime, she and Brian have developed such an amazing relationship early on.
The funeral was..........entertaining to say the least. I think Jen's "chat" *ahem* with Deb, fueled Deb's ire when confronted with Joan. Deb calling her out on being drunk...yelling at her in front of everyone...that was great. BUT...by FAR the best part was all the little side conversations. OMG...I would have been in hysterics had I been there. Between, Jen, Emmett, that woman....omg...How you came up with all that I have no idea, but frigging brilliant! reading it again today still had me in giggles.
Joan can go stuff it. At least Brian knows where she's really going. Her assumption that she's going through the pearly gates is so typical. The chat between her and "The Big Guy" would be interesting. Her excusing her behaviour and Him trying to make her face facts. Oh to be a fly on that wall!! LOL
Another night made. It's always such a joy to come here knowing I have a new chapter to read.

Brian and Justin's relationship is even more special this time around, I think. Having foreknowledge really gives them a chance to wade through the BS coming from certain members of the 'family' while making them stronger and more determined to design their lives the way they always wanted them. Justin was absolutely right about Dumb and Dumber. All they see is what they want and not how it affects the people around them, especially Brian. I'm so glad that Brian changed the locks and I found it funny that Michael mentions how he hopes that Justin doesn't become a ' fucking stalker.' It just goes to show how much he reads outside of comic books because if he'd ever bothered to pick up a dictionary, he would have seen his picture next to that word plus 'jackass,' 'pain,' 'idiot,' 'jealous,' 'imbecile,' 'moron,' 'nosy,' 'overbearing,' and many other not so flattering adjectives which describe both Michael and Lindsay. I'm looking forward to both of them being put into their proper places this time around...which is behind Brian and Justin.

Still can't understand why Michael just HAD to be there. Probably for appearances same so that Lindsay wouldn't trip or attempt to monopolize or delay Brian and Justin's 'first night.' That's the only thing I can come with at the moment since technically anyone could've taken a picture. Or perhaps it was to show Brian the night his life really began; the night when he really started to pull away from 'childish' things and it was really the start up point of Brian designing his life instead of just living it. I don't know but I'm looking forward to finding out!

Unrealy how hypocritical Joan is. Not surprising. Much is the same of most like her. Staunch right christian folk, who look at people to see if they measure up to their standards. Sadly. no one ever does.
thanks for putting in that bit about John and Peter! interesting and yay Peter for getting out of it before. Let's see if there are any changes there this time around. Perhaps they can get John to come around and be a stand up guy.

So...David thinks he can help with Michael's issues does he? I think he's in for a rude awakening. Brian is so far ingrained into Michael's life and psyche, that there really isn't much he could possibly do. Will David stick it out and if not, what happens when Michaell doesn't leave like he's supposed to?
There are so many things I've forgotten about that happened in canon, like when David cheated. another interesting turn of events. Rather than Brian & justin catching David, David confesses. Also odd that Justin was able to help Michael in his thoughts. A bit spooky if you ask me. Michael is so up adn down. 1 minute wanting justin dead, the next hugging him, or before, when he offered his mom to help with Jen. Makes you wonder if he has psychiatric problems doesn't it? It's strange....
Ok...things with chris are getting even weirder. and Scarier to be honest! Yanking justin into the men looks suspicious to say the least. why can't he just leave sell enough alone? If he were to really think about it, the more he reacts, the more trouble he could possibly get into. I get he's having personal problems re: his own sexuality, or at least that's what's hinted at. But he's a bit off the charts in his behaviour this time as well as last.
and now Jack is dead. Hard to have any kind of sypathy.

Emmett is really wondering why they all stayed friends with Michael. I think we can safely say we all did too. the blatent disrespect he shows everyone, but in particular his mother is awful!! I think teh gang is seeing their part in making Michael the person he is.
No matter what changes have been made in this time, Michael remains the asshole. i don't get his sense of entitlement. It's not like HE's done anything except to catch himself a sugar daddy. Exactly what he accuses justin of doing, yet, he sees himself as better. I guess he continues to forget that Justin was born into this lifestyle and social setting. Now that the gang has arrived, dressed appropriately adn socializing properly, he's still finding fault. Still being a complete jackass. David warned him about being an embarassment. If he had just left things alone....but no. Mr. society has to try to prove a point.
I wanted to smack Deb for thinking even for a second she was at fault!!
Thank goodness everyone was there to see and hear what Michael said, including Marilyn. she did say that Brian would still hit Michael. The fact that brian hit him twice was double teh goodness!! Loved that Marilyn only showed up to watch, and when Deb ignored Michael adn attended to Brian's hand! Perfection!!

I'm getting very unnerved by Chris's behaviour. It's unknown what he's going to do....who he's going to do it to. I admit to having a bit of anxiety over it.
Imagining Justin and Daph truying to give Michael lessons in ettiquette is.....beyond teh realm of my imagination. I try to picture it, and in all honesty, it probably doesn't do it justice. LOL. I laughed at the picture idea. I had to do that with a friend of mine so show them what to use and when at a function. To the uninitiated, it can be pretty daunting, but the fact that he doesn't even have basic manners....
Oh to be a fly on the wall at that dinner!! LOL!!

Debbie really needs to stop it! How can she not see her child for what and WHO he is. I can't wait for her to start having her eyes opened.
