WOW!! What a chapter!! The comparison between Justin and Michael was spot on! It's about time that Brian realized what was right before his eyes the whole time. Michael's brand of 'love' is completely based on superficiality and must be self-sacrificing to suit all of Michael's whims. Whereas Justin's love is all-encompassing and everlasting which was tailor-made for the person he loved- in this case Brian. It's funny how Michael always said that Justin used Brian when in reality, Brian was Michael's protection and shield from having to grow a set of balls and meet life on his own terms. I'm especially happy that Brian has now seen in retrospect that Deb's love was contingent upon Michael's happiness. A mighty big blow but an important epiphany if Brian and Justin are going to succeed this time around.
The comparison of Justin and Lindsay was also very revealing. It's funny that people always thought that Brian and Justin were together because of Brian's bank account but the truth is that Brian and Justin never fought about money unless Brian was trying to spend his on Justin. On the other side of that coin (pardon the pun), Lindsay expected that Brian would be her human checkbook at everyturn. I think Brian is absolutely right that if he was straight, Lindsay would have found a way to trap him and would have never became a full-time muncher.
Emmett telling off Michael was EPIC! Michael is a real asshole to say the things he said to Emmett and then try to gloss it over with 'I didn't mean it' or 'You're a great guy but...' What a damn schmuck! There is nothing about Michael that David would want to 'date' for any reason except that he likes the challenge of 'rebuilding' Frankenstein...SMH Thank goodness that Emmett has chosen to disregard every single piece of dating advice Michael has decided to let fly out of his mouth. It makes leaving the degenerate behind even easier.

I'm glad that Justin finally came clean to Brian and vice versa. Like Lindsay is trying to be now, Michael was always in the middle of their relationship even when he had his own. I can't stand that little fucking weasel!!
Anyway, I'm also glad that Mel leveled with Brian and he told her how their relationship became later. I think it will go a long way with Mel knowing what Lindsay has been up to behind the scenes and how orchaestrated by Lindsay her hate for Brian was. I'm glad that she and Ted are seeing Brian with 'new' eyes.

Good for Ben telling Emmett to not believe anything Vic says. I can't believe he actually thought he was scoring goody points with Em, showing what Deb actually did to Brian. The emotional abuse she inflicted was even worse than what Jack did to him. Physical bruises heal but abuse of the heart and mind have many more lasting effects. The fact that Brian couldn't even have a moment of suffering or joy without Michael being mentioned was just despicable. Debbie really should have been ashamed of herself!

I loved the session with Alex! I think having him there and hearing it from a man who just happens to also be a Doctor, put it a bit more into perspective for Jennifer. It definitely gave her something to think about.
Lindsay and Michael definitely need to fall off the face of the earth. I wish Deb had come upon them accosting Brian but having Marty there was just as good. I'm glad that Brian was there to witness Lindsay's innate jealousy firsthand and unable to gloss over what he finally saw in her eyes as she looked over Justin's work.
I'm glad that Mel is finally getting fed up with Lindsay's shenanigans. Do I want her with Maryann? Not quite but I definitely want her away from Lindsay.
I'm glad that Brian and Justin decided to confide in Emmett. They really need an ally while trying to get it right this time around.

I'm glad that Justin is better about Craig's defection this time around. It may still cut deeply but he's not willing to let his father's bigotry rule his life. I think he finally understood that the fault was not in himself but within Craig. I know that Jen will wise up about it but I still feel a little sorry for her having to see the monster she married.
I'm glad that Marilyn confirmed my suspicions about Lindsay's motives. I think having that little bit revealed, Justin will be on the lookout for Lindsay's next self-serving move and be able to thwart it.

Justin coming out to Jenn went pretty much as expected. Part of me wanted to shake her but then again, I empathize with her too. She wants to save her family and to believe the best of the man she married. It's sad that she's in for a rude awakening where Craig is concerned.
