Lindsay and Michael are now joined by Ethan as trouble. Hopefully there is some way to prove that Ethan vandalized Justin's car. To find out that Lindsay was behind Ethan wooing Justin is just so believable. Hopefully Mel heard her talking to Ethan. The noose is tightening around them all.

Oh my! What a spot Justin is in now! So much plot progression in this chapter. I felt I had to hold onto the edge of my seat to keep up with the horrifying developments. Not sure who I detest the most - Ethan, Lindsay, or Michael. Right now, I think Lindsay is leading the pack. I can't wait to see each of them receive their comeuppance. So much to worry about here. I have no clue how Brian can find Justin, but my goodness, I hope he does and quickly.

First don't worry. I've decided not to do NanoWriMo this year. In addition to my outstanding work here on KD, I am also in the middle of finishing up two novels. So I've opted not to put that kind of pressure on myself this year especially since I have to actually deal with Real Life sometimes (No one has managed to ban that yet huh? LOL). She just keeps making suggestions that Michael 'must' act on if he wants to see his dreams realized. It's funny though that Michael is not recognizing a good portion of himself within his ally. Lindsay and Michael are two sides of the same coin only she has a bit more finesse to her approach. Definitely some bumpy roads and hard lessons to learn for Michael!

Deb is one of those concrete reasoning people just like Michael where everything is either black or white. Unfortunately for Deb, she's now learning that there is also a gray area where there is no right or wrong answer. In this case she knows what Michael did is absolutely WRONG but in her heart he did it for all the right reasons. She wants Michael to learn a lesson from this but she doesn't want Justin to take action against her son resulting in loss of his store or jail time. I always found it funny that Deb could spout the moral high ground to everyone, except Michael. Instead her responses towards him were based mostly on feelings and not what was morally right or wrong. By putting her in this position, Deb now has to take a stand and not waver. It's an age old battle that Debbie is going through, it will be interesting to see how she wins the war that is happening within herself. Vic gave her some solid advice when he told her to take Michael out of the equation and think about it as if this were her own situation. The question is: will she listen?
Brian is doing his own brand of growing and it's amazing to see. As far as the babies.... whew! There is going to be some hell to pay!

A much needed conversation between our two boys. At first I was a bit stunned at Justin. Just walking in and telling Brian to "strip". I get it, don't get me wrong, he has his walls up. Brain taught him well in that aspect.
Impressed that Brian got up the balls to really ask Justin the necesary "why" questions. A good step in the right direction. I think he sort of has a play book now, it'w how long it takes for him to put some action to it rather just reading it. He understood where justin was coming from, and was honest enough with himself to know that he was right in many aspects, or at least he understood where Justin was coming from. They have a long road ahead of them (oh I hope no too long! At least let Justin dump Ethan soon please!!)
Figures Michael is at the door. Will Brian really open the door? Will Justin go hide in the bathroom (I probably would) or will he just ignore it? (does Michael still have a key? I can't remember)
What a spot to leave us poor readers!! I am so enjoying this fic! REALLY loved this chapter! Am looking forward to their journey and all it's twists and turns.

Brian and Justin are growing little by little but I have to say I'm proud of Brian for taking the initiative. I think Justin is kind of scaring him a bit. Justin shutting down in any form and hiding from Brian for any reason is what got them into much of their situation in the first place. But I think that he is starting to realize that he can't ask Justin to be open and honest if he's unwilling to do the same. It will be interesting to see how Brian handles actually having to put words to his actions and how Justin will respond in kind.

As I told Janet below, Brian and Justin's relationship is like tending to a garden. Unfortunately it has been overun by weeds that were allowed to get out of control thereby suffocating them as a couple. I'm going to have fun helping them to sort it out beginning with keeping their current situation a secret. But then again with Michael at the door now...

I was so excited to see this update, Chelle! This is probably my most favorite WIP out there right now. This story delves into so many often contemplated ideas, and deep reaching emotions than many do. I was swept away with each and every word!
The sex was scorching, of course! I loved that Justin was pushing Brian to losing control, and that it wasn't Brian coming direct at him as his typical fashion. Clearly, Brian is already struggling a bit, and wants so much more - whether he is ready to say those words or not. It seems that Brian misses that emotional boy who would always 'try' to reach him. What Justin didn't understand then, was that he always does 'reach' him. You just have to watch this complex man closely to know that.
I could go on about everything I loved about this chapter, and the story in general... but my job probably thinks I need to get ready for work! Haha! And you know I can't resist saying - of course it had to be Michael banging at the door!

Thanks a million Janet! Your encouragement means so much more than I can say. This is definitely a complex plot and there is so many different avenues I intend to go. The strange thing is that this was actually intended to be a light-hearted, fairly angst-free fic, LOL
As for Brian: I think his talk with Emmett and Jennifer had a lot to do with his questions to Justin. It was one thing to hear things said by Justin in anger; another thing to hear basically the same things said from other sources. This time Brian figured that he would probably get an even better understanding once he and Justin were sated and at least semi-relaxed. Working through Brian and Justin's problems is like tending to a garden- until the weeds are pulled out, they can't find the roots that need nourishment. Brian is only beginning to address the major cause of their current suffocation- non and/or miscommunication.
As for Captain Pain-in-the-Ass at the door...well let the peeping and hiding games BEGIN <in my sinister announcer voice>

but on to this one...OOoooooooooooooh so much happening!! I get tingles reading this to be honest! I think it's my level of anticipation. LOL. Anticipating Michael and Lindsey's downfall. :) And it's coming along so sweetly! Absolutely divine!!!!!!!!!!! hehe
I am so glad that Emmett was there to fill Deb in on teh reality of the situation! I do believe she's a very reasonable person. she may be very protective of her son, but if she's hit with real facts, she's able to see Michael for what he is. I kinda feel bad for her. Knowing she's protected Michael all these years, Putting blame on everyone else but him, making everyone else a scapegoat all teh while Michael has been the one to balme is many cases. Having that veil lifted from her must be a pretty harsh reality for her.
Hmmmmmmmmm. this Phoebe chick. Is she going to be someone to worry about? Will she stay loyal to Ethan and tell Ethan all of what's going on? I know Justin and Daph filled her in on stuff, and yes, she may have promised not to say anything, but will seh keep her word?
Good for Mel walking out when she did. I know she tried to lay it all out to Lindsey, but we all know that Linds won't listen. she has an idea in her head about Justin and Brian. By working with Michael she thinks' she can be on teh right side of things to manipulate B&J's relationship. mel is right, Lids should be thanking her lucky stars that she wasn't named in the law suit. But that's only becuase she hasn't actually done anything yet. If she drew even one cell of the comic she could've been.
I really am looking forward to seeing what Brian's gonna do next, That the mahjorit of the "family" is in on it or at least aware is going to be a shock to them as well. Definitely going to be fun to see. lol.

Love this chapter. Having Daphne, Emmett and Melanie on their side is not hurting at all. Loved Emmett telling Deb what really was going on rather then taking Mikey's word for it was sooooo good. Now I know they are trying to keep Brian's involvement out of it, but why? Mikey is truly stupid and Ben might have to pay for that fact.
