In case it wasn't clear...or you just aren't reading the scenes as intended, they are in the midst of an argument. I can't see that you are familiar with my work at all, if you think I wouldn't know or be able to distinguish between angry sex and rape. I find it troubling that of ALL the story, history AND plot given that you choose to negate an entire scene to nitpick and criticize (wrongly I might add) upon an innuendo which you have chosen to take, read and see completely out of context. Perhaps, before this gets out of hand, you should either keep an open mind or not read any more of my work because I choose to have character which act, think and feel like humans. They're gritty, dark at times and make decisions that are sometimes based on pure emotion and seldomly well thought out. Life is not all pretty prose and clean cut situations; it's not all rainbows and romance; neither is my work. So if that is what you are looking for, I don't mind telling you that it won't be found here. There are several excellent writers who indulge a reader's fancy and whimical musings or bow to the wishes of a single audience member as opposed to staying true to their craft and storyline. I'm certainly not one of them. I wish you continued pleasure on your reading journey.

Aww Phyllis... don't be too disappointed in Justin. Keep in mind that he's working out so much and has firsthand experience with that infamous Kinney cliff. He wouldn't be human if he wasn't at least a little wary and skeptical.

Everything that Malcolm said to justin was spot on! Absolute perfection. Wouldn't it have been nice to have someone like that standing by Brian and Justin in the show!? They had Vic, but sadly only for a short time. My goodness, your gift for writing is amazing. I was sucked in completely. Malcolm really gave Justin food for thought. Made him say outloud what he hadn't yet. Put the bug in Justin's ear that he has to decide what he wants. Making him understand that love isn't always "rainbows and lollipops", but work. Is he willing to put in the work. Take Brian for who he is as well as who he's able to become. Is he willing to put up with the shit back in Pittsburg.
And now....what of New York? Dear lord girl.......I mean really. So many things our boys have to consider is such a short space of time. Even I'm almost traumatized at the thought. lol. I'm so glad they are having this date! so far it's been wonderful, and I'm sure the next part will be as well. I just want our boys to find some joy. Even if it's just for a time. I know they have a lot of crap to deal with, and when they go back to the Pitts, it'll probably get even more angsty, but hopefully this time away will give them teh strength they need adn the fortification to stand up to the crap dealt to them.

Hey Elaine my Love!!! I really LOVE writing George and Malcolm. They are definitely the surprises in this fic. I, too, have wished they had a solid support system in the show. Vic tried as much as his character was allowed to. I've always felt that while the others were either trying to separate them in various ways or berating them and telling Brian and Justin that what they had wasn't 'real' because they didn't enforce societal rules between themselves, that they needed some guidance and some validation that they were doing the right thing by their relationship and each other. George and Malcolm provide that without telling them what to do. They allow Brian and Justin the room to grow instead of selfishly suffocating them so that they can feel like 'adults' while cheating and bleating at their partners.
Brian and Justin have a road of twists and turns ahead of them BUT they have made the decision that they want each other. That was HUGE! The question is: how much?? For now though, I am loving their time away from all of the influences of the family and the traps that Liberty Avenue has always held for them. They're getting some much needed closure in order to begin a new chapter in their story. And most importantly, each one of them are free to be themselves as they have known each other away from prying eyes and wagging tongues. They are reestablishing their private persona to be able to withstand the public poking their noses where they don't belong. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they are going to do...LOL

As for Brian, I'm so proud of him! It took a lot of guts for him to open up to Justin about Jack-Joan-John triangle and what's more is that no one else knows except Vic. I think Justin seeing Brian in a different setting is helping the matter the most. It's not that Justin has never seen Brian vulnerable- he has. It's that Brian is feeling comfortable enough in that space and time that, despite his fears, he's trusting Justin with everything that makes Brian himself. That's a major step in the right direction for them both. Now let's see what they do with the rest of the steps.

LOL! Hey Sandy! I want a beach house too! Like NOW! It's freaking freezing here in Rochester, NY and now there's an Artic blast about to settle in tomorrow and Thursday. Between the snow and cold, I'm wishing I was like my neighbors across the street who left for Aruba yesterday and will be gone until April. Lucky Lady and Gent they are!!
I'm really loving the George/Malcolm and Brian/Justin dynamic. They really need to know that a relationship is possible and given George and Malcolm's uneasy road to happiness, I think Brian is seeing what he could really have if he allows himself to.

Thank you so MUCH Phyllis! In the words of Mysterious Marilyn with a slight variation: Brian is writing the script and I'm just typing the lines. Brian has always been an enigma and his family life tumultuous but I always thought there should have been a reason beyond Jack and Joan were just simply hateful people. Life colors each of us differently and based on Jack's 'Never should have been a family man' comments, this definitely could have been a reason why he felt that way. Smart, successful, single and GAY, John had everything Jack wanted (well except for the gay gene). In Jack's world he could have too and that made him even more bitter with his life. Brian being able to talk about it is HUGE!
Justin's desire for a first date is definitely shaping up to be more than either of them bargained for!

Hey Claire! That view is EVERYTHING!! I would never leave that place... which is probably why I don't have it, LOL Currently all I see is piles and miles of white. YICK! Mother Nature has obviously already missed her doses of Prozac and Father Time is being slow on the uptake to remind her to take it. Geez I hate winter!!
Brian is taking tremendous strides towards making Justin his. Thankfully, once Brian makes up his mind that he wants something, he goes after it with everything in his arsenal. Justin is NOT READY for the stops Brian is pulling out on his behalf. I think if they can manage to be completely honest in their wants and needs with each other, anything coming their way will be more Miss than Hit. They will need it in the coming days for certain. But for now, they are reestablishing and reforging their bond and that's all to the good!

Lindz is so self centered that she doesn't see the world falling down around her. Mel's on to all her shenanigans and has thrown her out. Ben will be around to help Mel get over her loss and eat all her lemon cookies. I'm not sure if I feel sorry for Deb, like Vic says she enabled Mikey to be the selfish twit he is. Ethan's lost everything and once Justin finds out he's the one who messed with the car that will be the last straw. If he's not careful Hurricane Daphne will let him have it. Things are going in the right direction for Brian and Justin and with the help of their friends they'll do okay.

Wow...I don't even know where to start. What an un-friggin-believable chapter! I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat reading it. From start to finish it was pretty intense.
Lindsey has been handed her walking papers thankfully. something she definitely didn't see coming. she obviously didn't think Mel was serious. that she was just being emotional and they'd work things out.
Dear lordy! she is WAY more involved with all things Justin and Brian than I even thought. SHE's the one that had the idea of Ethan. It seems while Michael is definitely a manipulator in all these schemes, I get the impression that he is as much a puppet of hers as everyone else is. She is definitely has been a master thus far. It makes sense mind you. Michael doesn't seem intelligent enough to think of all the details. He's the type to come up with an idea and just jump into it, rather than make plans, and sub-plans. Lindsey's level of self entntlement is nauseating! I felt ill at all she was revealing. All her schemes and machinations are for nought at this point however. Not saying she won't keep trying, but those won't come to pass either. Too many things are coming to light now. Too many people know of too many things that have occurred. That zinger from Mel that let Lindsey know Mel was aware of the kids was brilliant.
I have to say WOW as well when it came to Vic's confrontation with Deb. SO needed. I'm glad she's saying yes to Carl, but how much will she be sacrificing if she continues standing by Michael. Carl will only put up with so much, and seeing as he's also aware of what Lindsey is up to....well, needless to say, he's going to be putting a mightly large foot down when it comes to Deb and her involvement with Michael. I'm assuming he's going to fill her in on what happened with Lindsey....
Justin is still thinking kindly towards Ethan. I wonder what's going to happen when he finds out the truth? When will that happen? I hope before the Friday they meet up. I also hope that Ethan doesn't do anything stupid. Justin needs a break. He and Brian need to get stronger in their relationship. Oh man...what is Brian going to do when he finds out about that deal too? Shit hitting the fan is nothing compared to what is going to happen. I hope more legal ramifications are in the works if possible. He's going to seriously cut ties with all parties involved.
Ben is a dream friend! He completelyunderstand what Mel is going through and will so incredibly supportive. He won't let her fall backwards, but will help her to move forward.
Oh what an incredible treat it was to see this!!!!! naturally I took a break from work. I simply can't see an update announcement and ignore it. the call is just too strong. I have little self control. :)

Such many issues discussed here and it was oh so necessary! Brian asked the bothersome questions and Justin was finally honest in his answers. While much if it was already obvious, I think he needed the time away from the Pitts, needed the split from Brian to really be honset with himself. I get the impression that he made excuses for his actions some of the time, and with time away, and a real opportunity for introspection, he really came to terms with some things. He didn't have anyone to fall back on in LA, or to blame, or anything. A much needed opportunity for him and ver healthy too. He gained the strength to really really talk to Brian when the opportunity arose.
So proud of them both here. they both allowed themselves to become vulnerable and ask teh hard questions they were both afraid to ask and answer.I wonder what decision they will come to with regards to where they live. They have some great supportive friendships back in the Pitts, it's just a matter of dealing with M&L. That would be enough to deter anyone, but with 2 new kids involved as well as Gus, I can't see any other answer. Perhaps this is an earlier opportunity to buy a "Britin". somewhere outside of town.
Am really looking forward to the next one! What a reat getting 3 in such close timing! Made for a lovely reading time this weekend.

Ethan isn't going to give up anytime soon, and I can see this taking a turn for the worse. Obviously he can't be trusted. Thankfully Daphne can handle herself, adn had the support of the security at the time, but the entire thing has a very ominous tone to it. what will he continue to do? I certainly hope he never finds out where exactly justin is. she seems to be catching on to the fact that Phoebe is hiding something. Oh I certainly hope Daph able to glean teh necesary information out of her! Having everyone in the know will make things so much easier on our boys!
The whiny weasly twosome are at it again...Ted though.......WOW! All hail to Ted! He was absolutely brilliant! Between he and Cynthia they gave it to those two in a big way! Mell was pretty awesome as well! Oh I hope I hop I hope that Lindsey assumes that Mel isn't serious and gets her self kicked out! I'm laughing hysterically at the thought of L&M having to co-habitate in his room at Deb's. LMFAO! Not as if Deb would put up with it though.
I'm also really looking forward to the law suit. I mean how many times does Michael need to be told he doesn't have a leg to stand on. Try as he might, adn even with Lindsey's help, he just can't get anyone to act on his behalf. To top it all off, what's going to happen when the fact of the twins comes to light!? OMG! That is going to be epic!!
Oh how I loved this chapter! I simply and absolutely adored Ted in this! I we get to see more if this side of him in the future!!

wondering when Justin, Brian etc will find out about Ethan's involvement with Michael and how he was the one who vandalized the car. Now that will be an interesting scenario! Ethan certainly has everyone fooled for the most part. some may not like him, but I don't see anyone being aware of his machinations in it all. (well except for Phoebe that is)
And speaking of Phoebe....I'm really disappointed that she'sd one nothing about how much she knows...what all she overheard.
Thankfully Brian went to see Justin! (george and Malcolm are sly foxes aren't they? Gotta love them!) NOW they can FINALLY have thatheart to heart they so desparately need. the fact that he's the one to instigate it is nothing short of miraculous! It truly shows the depth of his feelings for Justin.
I am devastated for Brian though. He knows how devious his 2 supposed "best friends" are now and he must be so heartbroken over it. His illusion of their friendship is completely shattered.
So happy to see this update. The next 2 as well.
