Thank goodness I heeded your tissue warning, Saje. Tears are dripping onto my keyboard anyhow, but at least I'm cathcing some of them before they fall.
This is such a powerful, heartwrenching, bittersweet story of the bond between Brian and Debbie. I think it's hitting me particularly hard because I lost my my mother - who was also very much the mother of my heart - this past February. As I sit here bawling, I'm thinking how much I miss her, how grateful I am for all the years together, and how very much all the memories mean.
Tears aside, I'm glad you shared this story. â¤ï¸

Daggone you Saje! Now I'm sitting here sniffing my Smurfette-size nose while at my desk. This was so Brian and Debbie and reminded me of their bar scene in season 2, their talk after Stockwell in season 3 and their talk on the street after cancer in season 4. So poignant and heartfelt. I don't think anyone could read this and NOT be truly affected!

Thank you for the lovely compliments. I do not know where this came from, it just insisted to be written. One shot, one go, a few minutes, less than ten, and I was sobbing the whole time. It did seem so them. On a lighter note, I dare you to read it aloud at work and see if you can make all of your co-workers cry too.
