Yes, you are correct- this was written after Falling off the Cliff. This was my first major story in the fandom- oh so many years ago. My beta at the time encouraged me to tell the story of how Justin and Brian ended up apart and Falling off the Cliff was that story. I think the OD was not on purpose.
