I just read this and laughed my way through!  Great story.  You really captured Brian at his most haughty, germophobic self!  I loved his description of the walls, then his horror after sniffing it.  So funny!  Loved the ending as well!

I'm glad this little tale made you laugh. Even though this pandemic isn't fun at all in RL, I had fun weaving in references to it in a lighthearted manner. Humor keeps me going!

I really put Brian through the wringer, didn't I? :D He kept protesting that not all germs and substances are equal, and I kept ignoring him. :D He was rather put out, until he realized that I'd given him an opportunity - er, a blond boy - to seize...

I laughed- something I haven't done in a while-  thank you-  loved Brian breaking into Justin's apartment-  and the picture of him not wanting to touch anything was very well done

Thanks for the compliments, Phyllis! It's not easy to come up with a new premise, so it makes me happy to stumble onto something different. The idea was sparked to life when BritinManor (Cathy) sent me the photo of the Walmart table, along with a screencap of Brian's kitchen table (ah... jambalaya), and the fun continued from there.

I couldn't resist a throwback to the Zucchini Man. Zuke claims, "I rule!"

"If the fugly squash is really lucky," Brian grunts, "he'll see us in his dreams."

Justin nods his agreement. "I'm feeling generous. He can have our empties." 🍻

I've gotten a couple comments about Debbie's toilet paper cat holder over on AO3. 🙀😻😽 There seems to be a love-hate relationship between the cat and the readers.

Thanks for satisfying everyone's curiosity in regard to the 'real' and 'fake' tables. Brynn tried including them, and a couple other things in the banner, but it just looked hokey. I didn't even consider putting them in an end note. I'll have to refer any interested AO3 readers to your review.
