I don't know where Lindsay got the idea that Brian would be paying them while Gus was living with him and Justin, and her thinking that Brian gives Gus everything is far from the truth. Ben cares about JR and she is the child he never thought he would have. Mel and Linds are all about the money. They really don't see the children as anything but a way to get money from Brian.

Wonderful chapter. How strange that Lindsay thinks she can just ask for her son back so that he can do the work she and Melanie aren't. Someone should check up on their housekeeping practices and check out the financial state. Melanie's blow up the other night makes her seem unstable. Michael is always saying that Brian never wanted to be a father, but I think Melanie was in love with the idea of being a mother unfortunately not with the actuality.

Wow Lindsay is still delusional even when she actually focuses on that they would use Gus to do the chores she still did not get that he is a child. I get the importance of children learning to chores and family responsibility but not becoming full time careers and house keepers.

Its sad that Lindsay only thinks of Gus when she has a free moment in the morning. Michael has to twist his reality to coincide with Brian. I'm glad that Brian has Justin to ground him.

Michael only sees himself as he relates to Brian. He has to always push himself into Brian's world by any means that he can. Melanie always used Gus - I really think that she humors Lindsay but she doesn't like that Gus is Brian's son. So when Brian offered to help out with Gus, she thought that was great.

Its not exactly that Brian has custody, but rather Mel and Lindsay were so busy with their lives that Brian volunteered to (first- take Gus to soccer practice, 2- keep him after school on other days)- So when Brian offered to have him stay with him instead of him just keeping him right after school and taking him home to sleep, Lindsay thought it sounded like a reasonable solution. She hasn't figured out that he he is living with Brian since he doesn't come home to sleep at night. Hoep that explains it.
