Brian is still trying to figure out the whole new way his life is moving. It will be an interesting journey. He's had friends that he didn't sleep with, but he is unsure what to label Justin as at this time.

The trick is going to spread his encounter all over Liberty Avenue. The "only once" policy has been overruled or is it "only one encounter"?

Brian Kinney isn't worried about gossip on Liberty as long as it is not from the family. At the moment, he just wants his dick sucked.

I didn't think Brian will last with Ted and Blake for so long; he must realize that he can't deal with this alone, but he can't let go of his "I don't need anybody, I'm fine" routine.
Did he go to his loft directly after the dinner?

Brian is stubborn. I agree that he will eventually have to tell "the family" but this is very new to him. He is still so unsure about what they will say and how they will react. The second question will be answered in the next chapter.

So good to see you posting this story here. It's great that Brian realizes that he has a problem and he's doing it for the right reason Gus. I wonder why Justin attends the meetings every day. What brought him into needing AA?

I decided that this is a stand alone story and did not need to wait until others are finished posting. WE will eventually learn Justin's story, it may take a while.

Great idea for a story. I agree with you, Brian drinks way too much, but I'm not sure he is an alcoholic like his mother who can't stand without her Sherry. He can spend his workday without drinking. His obvious addiction is sex.
Let's see how you deal with this AU and if Brian will manage to spend his week-end without his usual pain management. It will be hard on him to deal with Justin as sponsor if he can't take him to the loft, then to his bed or couch if he is too horny to get to the bedroom.

A person can be an alcoholic and only drink on weekends. There is a misconception that someone who is an alcoholic will be drunk all the time. I agree that Brian is definitely addicted to sex as well. It should be interesting to see how he handles leaving both addictions unmet at the same time.
