I really want to kill Ethan. He is a manipulative arrogant prick. It is hard to read Justin putting up with all that bullshit because I never saw him that way. I know he put up with shit from Brian, but that was different from what Ethan is doing.
I know you have your reasons and that is part of storytelling. I am looking forward to more :)

I can't get the idea of Justin's phone tampered out of my head. What a leech! It's awful to have someone chasing and hovering like this.
As for the sex scene, I understand it's for the story and it's one more way to get Justin where he wants: down and submissive. I know that's the way it happens, but I want to smack Justin so he opens his eyes and fight. Where is Daphne when you need her?

Hey Tag. I've never commented before, but recently realized that it's important for the author. So, that being said, I want you to know I've enjoyed all your stories. I have to admit that I thought about not reading this, what with the concept of the story. I love a good anti-Michael and anti-Lindsay fic, although most of them usually end up with them not getting their just do, which I think is unfair to us readers As far as an anti-Ethan fic, they totally creep me out. Maybe, because in the original show, I was a little creeped out by him. That saying, every chapter I have read, I do get a sinking, horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. You're an excellent writer, so I trust you to not let Ethan get away with too much, and he will get everything that's coming to him, tenfold. It's hard not to know Brian's feelings during this time, but I also know, it's not plausible. I really didn't like Jennifer's reaction to meeting Ethan. I thought she was smarter than that, by not seeing Justin's discomfort, and being suckered in by him, as her WASP upbringing should allow her to see through some of his bullshit. As for the anniversary party, I see we're not going to see the whole Brian slugging Michael arc. Keep writing please, I need to see a light coming soon.

Well, that opening paragraph or two certainly could be applied to a current political figure, now couldn't it??? Ugh!
I think one of the reasons why Justin might have fallen so easily for Ethan's manipulations is the fact that he really DIDN'T have any other options - nowhere else to go at 1am. He's still fighting though, letting his real personality out in his remarks about the GPS, but he is mentally exhausted and his guard is down.
I really didn't mind canon Ethan so much, I was happy that Justin was giving himself a chance to experience other relationships. He was still SO young at the time. But this Ethan really makes me want to smack him!
I know you said you struggled with this chapter, but I thought it was great! Already looking forward to the next one!

As you might already know I love angsty stories.
I've read loads of them by now.
And with this one I'm slowly starting to get very afraid for Justin's welbeing.
I've never been a real hater of the Ethan character. He was charming, goodlooking and I think defenitely in lust, if not in love with Justin and he sure knew how to put his charm and good looks to use. Which shows in the beginning of this story.
But your story puts an entire new outlook on his character. He's slowly starting to creep me out. I don't if will ever be able to watch QaF without thinking what Ethan is up to in this story.
Loving Justin looking back on his past. They provide us, readers, with a good insight into those painful episodes where our boys started to drift apart.
Eagerly awaiting the next update.

Oh, wow... it seems like I missed a chapter. But then, I did get to read 2 tonight. I think the frog analogy is very appropriate here. Even over the course of just a single day, Justin has to spend too much time making excuses for Ethan and spends too much time reminding himself that he's supposed to be happy.

This part of the show always bothered me in quite a few ways. Justin has always known that Brian was better at actions than words, and he stopped paying attention to the little things that Brian did to show him how he felt. Keeping food in the house he would never eat, making sure he continued on with his education, paying attention to what he liked both in and out of bed. The Rage Party IMO was his biggest show of love for Justin and showed just how proud Brian was of him. What Justin did was pretty shitty and done in such a public way, that it would have embarrassed the most confident of people. And don’t get me started on Ethan, because there is such a thing as too much love which the fiddler was doling out by the truckload. I wonder if Justin has figured out that Etan’s main way of communicating his love is by fucking him? Which was one of Justin’s main complaints when it came to Brian. I also wonder if he’s figured out that someone close to him has been feeding Ethan information from the very beginning? I won’t voice who I think it is yet....i’ll just keep reading.

My heart hurts so much for Justin after reading this, he was so desperate to feel loved and cared for, I am not surprised he fell for Ethan. The fact the young musician mentioned his art must have meant a lot to him and made him feel like a person and not just a Brian Kinney sex toy :) Very excited to see where this goes.

So well written with such good detail. I am ready for the start of how you have things going. I used to alternate between loving and hating Brian & Justin when watching the series. Brian for hurting Justin, then Justin for hurting Brian. It was a no win situation, but oh it made good storyline. Fantastic chapter.
