I can imagine how Justin can pout when he doesn't get his way. I didn't think he could become tidy at the same time.
What surprised me is that Justin knows or at least suspects that Christmas is a tough period for Brian, for many reasons: he should try to keep it light and maybe increase his requests each year.
Great gift: I bet Justin won't be able to meet with Alissa without blushing. His WASP side is surfacing from time to time.

Well keep in mind this is eight years or so after the series ends; hehas slowly worked Brian up to this point. Sadly, he had no way of knowing that the wreath is a very sore point for Brian. But now thathe does, he won't press it again. It wasn't really the wreath itself he was upset about, but the way Brian reacted - basically telling him no in a very unkind way and then shutting down without so much as an explanation. That's what he was upset about. Brian had come a long way in their comunnication issues and suddenly he was shutting Justin out again.

I'm not tired of the actual story, or the universe itself; it was just all the smut that got to be hard to write at the end. There is only so many ways you can write a smut scene before you start worrying that it's getting repetitive. But, hopefully, you'll be glad to know that I'm planning on revisiting this in another vignette series challenge (365 Days this time) that will start Jan. 1.

Thanks! I so hate victim shaming and wanted Justin and Brian to realize that what happened was no one but Chris' fault; and it stemmed his fears and insecurities and he was a time bomb just waiting to go off with the right trigger. After all, it was a premeditated attack. it wasn't a crime of passion where a bat just happened to be there and Chris picked it and swung without thinking it through. He stalked Justin to his car - he deliberately picked up bat, followed him, waited until his back was turned and then swung. Someone like that was just waiting for a reason to do what had been brewing inside the whole time.
