I fucking hate Joan Kinney, what a cold, vile old lady. I am so glad he has Debbie in his life. Blood doesn't make you family, love does, and Debbie loves him like her own.
I really never knew until reading this how with this type of SCI a man couldn't ejaculate anymore, I cannot imagine how that would make him feel.
I love this change in Brian.

This story was actually hard for me to read. I had to take a break before I could finish it. I felt so much empathy with Brian - not that I’m phyically disabled or anything, but because I’m dealing with my own losses this year - so it was difficult for me to see him get through the struggle to acceptance when I’m not there yet. You did a wonderful job detailing all that emotion. Great writing job. TAG

I'm seriously considering a sequel, but I want to wait a bit because my life is about to get busier in a couple of weeks, and I know I wouldn't be able to keep up the pace I did with this one, at least not for a while. This was a fantastic story. You did a wonderful job of explaining and sharing what it is like to become paraplegic. Justin's love for Brian is palpable, but the despair and despondency that Brian worked through was felt through your excellent story telling. You should be very proud of you first work and I'm so excited that you decided to run with the idea and make it a story. Hopefully, there are many plot bunnies in your head to continue on more stories.
