I love your stories because I love seeing Michael and Lindsay get their butts kicked over and over again. Usually ending up with the two of them in jail, which I like, no I love.
BUT...
and not a BUTT which I would enjoy better but am I missing something on this website...does EVERY story have to have a woman sidekick? In every story it's a woman character that does the ass kicking, usually someone from Brian's past. Very rarely do Brian and Justin do any actual butt kicking after the introduction of said woman character then Brian and Justin are regulated to the kitchen or the bedroom (or any room they can reach) either fighting over food or fucking, they usually sit back and have sex while the woman takes care of doing away with Lindsay and Michael, sometimes only after knowing the gang after only a few days. I would really like to see Brian and Justin have more of a hand in getting rid of the terrible twosome. I'd like to see them central to the story-line, but just not in the scene for sex, and sometime that sex is even in rooms right next to the kids, in one story Jenny could at age 12/14 tell who was moaning, Hunter or Justin. That left me with a big sqicky feeling.
I come for the ass kicking but I truly wish it was Brian and Justin issuing the ass kicking, not a female character that I really don't care as much about doing all the important things, I wouldn't mind if she helped, but in a lot of the storylines they don't even know about it till it's over. Sometimes Emmett and Ted have more to do than Brian and Justin. Also I've gotten to the point in my fanfiction life after over 20 years of just by-passing the sex scenes, plot has become more important to me than sex, sex that's not really why I'm here, I'm here for Brian and Justin scenes of them growing, of getting closer, of becoming a true couple, scenes of them doing the major carrying of the plot lines and story. I'm seriously not trying to sound mean, like I said I really like the kicking of Michael and Lindsay but I'm loosing interest with each story because to me it seems like my boys are there less and less, I'd really like to see more of them.

Thank you for your review. In answer to the questions raised, yes there will always be a female sidekick/friend for Brian or Justin - be it from their past or having just met them. I thought that the women were sorely underwritten in the series and want to redress that balance in my stories. I agree that in Zee, Slick and Ruth there was a lot of ass kicking on the boys behalf from them but in more recent stories, especially the current ones the boys are fighting their own battles. For Smoke and Mirrors [which Don't Know Why But I Do: Smoke and Mirrors will be shortened to] where this review appears, the female character is not a friend of Brian's nor is she going to take care of anything for him. He will most definitely be doing that himself. With Emmett and Ted, they are back up for Brian and Justin. Supporting them in their battles, not battling completely for them.

Interesting and intriguing beginning!

Was a bit confusing at first but I got it eventually.
The regular cast of characters were there except Ted. Where was he?
This is really a twilight zone story if Lindsay is married to a man and Michael is in love with Brian. Ha!
Now we have to find out why it happened.
