I've actually been wanting to read this story for a long time but I hesitated because I was scared of a story where Justin had died. Especially, considering the last four years, I didn't think I could handle that much darkness. But, I just got my second vaccination dose, and I'm feeling quite hopeful again, so I think I'm ready to take on this challenge. So far, I already love this Brian. Very excited to read the rest. TAG

I've been meaning to give this story a try for a while... I guess I've just now gotten the guts to start. I can't imagine a world for Brian where Justin Taylor doesn't exist anymore, but at least there is a little piece of him left :)

Thank you. I tried to call on the wisdom of my own kids (even when they were being shits, LOL). My favorite line of Taylor's is "Daddy, I'm talking to Misser T!" LOL... that is soooo my granddaughter coming through.

How can something so sad, be so beautifully written? I hadn't read this before, and I admit I had tears streaming down my face at just the thought of Justin not surviving the bashing. I was not expecting Daphne to be pregnant with Justin's baby, but what a wonderful twist - and then having Brian want to jump in and adopt the baby... MY HEART!!!
How do you do it? Your writing is BEAUTIFUL.

Thank you Sally! So kind. This wasn't quite as painful to write as I thought it would be, since I already knew Justin would be hanging around in the wings. I don't know if it's macabre or not, but I have a special place in my heart for death fic. You can pull such an expanse of emotion from them.

Really? I wanted to set their bds on mine, but I just couldn't get a full term baby there by mid-December. Dang it. You ought to have seen the intricate calendar/timeline I made for this story. It was so convoluted for such a short story. LOL.
