Touching chapter: poor Emmett to have such parents.

I loved aunt Lula, Sticks and the local expressions:

- He'd scream like an angry rooster if I didn't have snickerdoodles made for him, wouldn't ya, Bubbles?

- Fuck, I'm more nervous than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rockin' chairs.

The important thing is that now Emmett has people who love and respect him.

Love southern expressions, even if it sometimes takes a minute to figure out what they mean.

I'm just loving every chapter of this story.  Lula and Reba are great.  I hated the way Emmett's parents treated him.  His real family is back in the Pitts...that's all that matters.

My heart broke for Em!! Arlee is just plain hateful and his mother is a whimp. Thank goodness he went to the Pitts and made himself far more successful than his father would ever be. Just one more thing he has in common with Brian and Justin! 

I LOVE Aunt Lula and Sticks! They reminded me so much of my own grandmother (who I lost at an early age) and my aunts and cousins in the South. So great that Em still knows that there are at least two people in the world he left that loved him for being plain ol' Bubbles (which is adorable- BTW).

Looking forward to more of this!!

The family Em made for himself is infinitely better than the one he was born into.

There had to be a reason Emmett loved Aunt Lula so much.

They had to have a special name for Em.

That was an interesting visit.  I live in the south and I've never heard of most of those expressions.  Shame about his mom and dad.  Some people should not be parents.  It good he has his Aunt Lulu and Reba.

Expressions vary depending on where you go in the south.
