Billionaire ad exec, Brian Kinney has just moved to town, riding in on his motorcycle to open a new branch of his very successful agency, Kinnetic. Soon after settling in to one of the largest mansions in the area with his two dogs, he meets his neighbor, Justin Taylor. Justin is a world renowned cellist who has recently moved into a nearby mansion.  He loves fast cars, adorable cats, and has the annoying habit of practicing….loudly, (at least according to Brian) for hours on end. Despite his initial annoyance, Brian soon grows fond of the music and the cellist, but after experiencing a broken heart in the past has vowed to never allow himself to love again.  The problem is, the heart wants what the heart wants, and there's not much the brain can do to stop it.

This is a what if version of that period of time at the end of Season 3 and beginning of Season 4 when Justin has gone to Hollywood to help in the making of the movie, "Rage" . What if Brian couldn't take the separation from his lover any longer, especially with a New Year about to start? What would Brian do about it? Justin lost his virginity on a one night stand with Brian when he was 17 and left that experience with more than he planned although nothing he would ever regret, 15 years later they meet again and get to know each other again whilst facing all sorts of obstacles and challenges from Michael who is jealous of Brian's attention being placed elsewhere.

Brian told Justin to get some friends his age – what if the kiss Michael saw was misconstrued? What if miscommunication was only the start of it all? Just how far does the butterfly effect go? 

After 6 Months in New York Justin Returns home to Britin much to the annoyance of Michael and Lindsey who try everything they can think of to stop Justin and Brian being together for their own selfish desires.
